Getting our grandsons ready for school was a bit of a journey since we’d been out of the loop for a while, but we got it all figured out—and now we have a future kindergartener this coming Fall! If you’re in a similar boat, we wanted to share what we learned to make things easier for you.
To find out which school your child will attend, just enter your address here: Spokane Public Schools Locator. It’ll tell you if you’re in the Spokane Public School District. Most Spokane addresses are, but if you're in a surrounding area, we’ve also included info below to help you out. Hope this makes the process a little smoother for you!
Spokane Public Schools (District 81):
Spokane Public Schools operates 69 schools, including 34 elementary schools, nine middle schools, and five comprehensive high schools. For the 2025-26 academic year, kindergarten registration is open to children who will be 5 years old by August 31, 2025. The registration process opened on January 1, 2025. Additionally, the School Choice Request priority window is from January 1 to February 15, 2025, allowing families to apply for schools outside their designated neighborhood zones.
