Parenting Magazine haas named Spokane, Wa on of the top 10 American hometowns in its 'Best Cities for Families' article.

It's award based on mom's top criteria for keeping their families happy, healthy and safe.

The magazine says Spokane was recognized  for its pristinely clean, friendly and afforable city.  Also recognized for the three Blue Ribbon schools, 4,100 acres of parks, playgrounds, pools and two children's hospitals.

Spokane ranked inthe top 10 in two addtional categories, best education and best health.

National Picnic Month


National Picnic month is when we celebrate the love of being outdoors enjoying friends and family by having a picnic.  It's a time to celebrate nature and all it has to offer.

Picnics are often family affairs but can also be a romantic occasion, or a large get-together, company picnics and church picnics. 

Picnics are so popular in the month of July because of the warm weather and a large number of families take their vacations in July and spend most of their time outdoors.

Guaranteed to thrill young pirates in the family! It's a 90-minute family adventure lake cruise that takes place on-board a pirate ship on Lake Coeur d' Alene.  Join Calico Jack, the meanest, nastiest pirate ever to fly the Jolly Roger, as he takes his stolen treasure chest and his prisoner, Lady Killigrew, to mysterious Kidd Island.  Kids become part of the action that includes scallywags and heroes, gold doubloons and swashbuckling sword fights, even an attack from a rescue ship. Kids will also enjoy face-painting and dancing with snacks and beverages.  Each child will leave with a special pirate memento.

REG’s Free Family Film Festival is Now Showing!

We have planned a fun-filled summer of select movies for kids and parents. Regal has proudly offered this free summer fun since 1991. Oh, did we mention that it’s FREE!

Selected G or PG movies start at 10:00am every Tuesday and Wednesday during the festival. Tickets and seating are first-come, first-served and are limited to theatre capacity.
